Grape Variety: Sangiovese 95%, Canaiolo 5%
Vinification: Hand-picked when the grapes are perfectly ripe, fermentation takes place in enameled concrete and/or stainless steel tanks for approximately 14 days, during which several pumpings and punchings are performed. After racking, the pomace is pressed in a new-generation vertical press, and the pressed grapes are returned to their wine. Malolactic fermentation is aided by heating the storage room. Racked several times (draining), the wine ages in 500-liter oak tonneaux for approximately 10-12 months. This is followed by a further aging in the bottle for several months.
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby in color, the nose expresses a floral bouquet of violets and fruity notes of blueberries and ripe red fruits. On the palate, it presents rounded tannins, is fresh, fruity, and has a good overall balance. It has a long, persistent finish.
Pairings: Perfect with red meat ragù, roasted white meats, and semi-mature cheeses.
Size: 750 ml
