Marchesi Antinori “Pian delle Vigne” Rosso di Montalcino DOC (2020)

Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification: the grapes were destemmed, softly pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of 25 °C, which lasted about 8-10 days. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine began its refinement period lasting about 10 months.
Tasting notes: of a lively ruby red color, the nose shows notes of small red fruits, such as currants and raspberries, floral notes, rose hips and lavender, and hints of candied citron. On the palate it is fresh, fruity, with firm tannins and a long taste-olfactory persistence.
Pairings: perfect with structured first courses, red meat and game dishes, medium-aged cheeses.
