Banfi ExcelsuS Toscana IGT (2017)

Grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaking: controlled temperature fermentation (25-30°) in combined steel and Horizon French oak vats. Aging in 350 liter French oak barriques for 18 months.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red in colour, the nose is intense and complex, with fruity hints of cherry and raspberries, accompanied by notes of liquorice, coffee and tobacco. In the mouth it is ample with an imposing structure and sweet tannins, with a long taste-olfactory persistence.
Pairing: perfect with red meat dishes and mature cheeses.
