Grapes: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Sangiovese
Vinification: In open conical oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques, and where it is then aged for 18 months, followed by 12 months of aging in bottle.
Tasting notes: Al Naso offers an intense and extremely fine olfactory impact, with black berries and cassis, accompanied by balsamic and Mediterranean scrub hints. Typical mineral notes then develop. The wood is perfectly integrated and offers sweet spicy notes and an elegant woody finish. On the palate it is austere and fresh with a fine and enveloping tannic texture. The whole is found in the long final persistence, where ample mineral notes emerge.
Pairings: Stewed red meat, aged cheeses, game
