Carlotto Pinot Nero “Filari di Mazzon” (2017)
“Filari di Mazzon” is a Pinot noir grown on the Mazzon hill, a village located to the left of the Adige valley, at the foot of the “Monte Corno” Natural Park and cradle of this delicate vine. The clayey and calcareous nature of the soil are an excellent premise for the production of a savory, round, finely tannic and fruity Pinot Noir with notes of raspberry and cassis.
Grapes: Pinot Nero 100%
Vinification: The fermentation and maceration process takes place for a period of approximately ten days, during which daily pumping over and punching down are carried out. The malolactic fermentation takes place in oak vats. Subsequently the wine matures and is refined for twelve months in large barrels and barriques. This period is followed by assembly in large wooden and steel barrels for two / three months before bottling. The wine matures for six months in the cellar before being marketed.
Tasting notes: The clayey and calcareous nature of the soil is an excellent premise for the production of a savory, round, finely tannic and fruity Pinot Noir with notes of raspberry and cassis. Typical characteristics of Mazzon’s Pinot Noir are: sweet fruit on the nose, flavor and dense tannin in the mouth.
Format: 750 ml
