Grape Variety: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification: The grapes were destemmed and softly pressed before being transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place. Maceration lasted an average of twelve days at a temperature of 28°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred to oak barrels ranging in size from 30 to 80 hl, where it began its maturation process. After two years, Pian delle Vigne left the large barrels for extended bottle aging.
Tasting Notes: With an intense ruby ​​red color, the nose is vibrant with notes of ripe red fruit, plum, date, herbaceous and floral notes of violet, accompanied by spicy hints of ginger, chili pepper, and cocoa. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and smooth, well-balanced, harmonious, and very persistent with notes of licorice and cocoa.
Pairings: Perfect with meat-based first courses, roasted and grilled meats, game, and aged cheeses.
