Marchesi Antinori “Il Bruciato” Bolgheri DOC (2020)

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Vinification: the selected grapes were destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation and maceration took place in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks for a period of about 10-15 days at a temperature of 28-30°C. A part of the Merlot and Syrah musts was kept at lower fermentation temperatures to better preserve the varietal aromas. Malolactic fermentation took place partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks, and was completed by the end of the year for all varieties. Subsequently the Cabernet Sauvignon was combined with Merlot, Syrah, and small quantities of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot: the wine thus obtained met again the barrique, where it rested before bottling.
Tasting notes: of an intense ruby red colour, the nose is intense with hints of currant, blackberry, light vanilla and sweet spices. On the palate it expresses great drinkability with very marked fruity scents. Excellent harmony and taste-olfactory persistence
Pairings: ideal with cheeses, velvety soups, soups, roasts.
