The Lisini Agricultural Company covers an area of 154 hectares and is located in the southern part of the Municipality of Montalcino, 8 km from it and 1 km from the hamlet of Sant’Angelo in Colle. The very happy position of the vineyards, which extend for almost 24 hectares, associated with the very high quality of the soils, allow an exceptional quality of the grapes which produce one of the best Brunelli di Montalcino. In particular, the vineyards open to the sea currents of the Maremma have a particular microclimate, extremely different from other areas of the municipality, consisting of low rainfall and no fog.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese from the vineyard of the same name facing southwest and from the selection of the best Marze Madri, re-grafted onto wild plants with a skilful hand by the “Veterans” of the Company.
Fermentation: Carried out in stainless steel tanks with a duration, including the period of maceration on the skins, ranging between 20 and 26 days at a controlled temperature between 24 ° and 26 ° C with daily punching down performed manually. Drawing off with soft pressing and malolactic fermentation in steel, Spontaneous clarification without filtration followed by aging in Slavonian oak barrels of variable volume from 20 to 50 HI for a period of 48 months. Further aging in bottle for 6/8 months.
Tasting notes: R deep ruby bone that refines over the years in bright orange. perfume slightly ethereal bouquet of extraordinary elegance with hints of tar, undergrowth, tobacco, violet and vanilla; dry flavor, but at the same time soft, full and harmonious, firm and viperine backbone, consistent and aristocratic texture.
Pairings: Game, roasted and stewed red meats, aged cheeses.
