Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino DOCG “Fornace” (2013)
The Azienda Agricola Le Ragnaie covers an area of 28 hectares in the municipality of Montalcino, the land is cultivated with vineyards and olive groves, following the dictates of Organic farming * , and are located in three distinct areas of the Montalcino district allowing to vinify grapes from three different terroirs:
- Le Ragnaie: in the central area of Montalcino, the highest vineyards in the whole area;
- Petroso: near the town of Montalcino, one of the oldest wine-growing areas;
- Castelnuovo dell’Abate: in the southeastern part of the area in front of Monte Amiata.
Grapes: Sangiovese 100% From the vineyards of Castelnuovo dell’Abate
Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, manual pumping over, followed by aging in Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months.
Tasting notes: the wine has a bright garnet red color, a wide and intense nose, with notes of red fruit, cherries in alcohol, dried flowers and sweet spices. The taste remains round, soft and silky, with an elegant freshness, with well integrated tannins
Pairings: Roasted red meats, game and aged cheeses.
Format: 750 ml
