Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (2015)
The Azienda Agricola Le Ragnaie covers an area of 28 hectares in the municipality of Montalcino, the land is cultivated with vineyards and olive groves, following the dictates of Organic farming , and are spread over three distinct areas of the Montalcino district allowing to vinify grapes from three different terroirs:
- Le Ragnaie: in the central area of Montalcino, the highest vineyards in the whole area;
- Petroso: near the town of Montalcino, one of the oldest wine-growing areas;
- Castelnuovo dell’Abate: in the southeastern part of the area in front of Monte Amiata.
Grapes: Sangiovese 100%
Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, manual pumping over, followed by aging in French oak tonneaux for 18 months and another 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Tasting notes: the wine has a ruby red color, intense, characteristic and delicate aromas, harmonious with hints of vanilla and red fruit, with a broad, warm flavor. Persistent with great harmony and flavor, with a structure and complexity such as to make the life of the wine very long-lived.
Pairings: Roasted red meats, game and aged cheeses.
Format: 750 ml
