The Etna Rosso “San Lorenzo” by Girolamo Russo is fully part of the excellence of Sicilian wines. In a fantastic terroir like that of the slopes of Etna, Giuseppe has been leading the family winery since 2004, he is the architect of the success of the Girolamo Russo winery, a tradition that Giuseppe has been able to enhance by producing wines of excellent quality.
Grapes: Nerello Mascalese with small percentages of Nerello Cappuccio
Vinification: Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel and maceration on the skins for 13 days
Aging: 20 months in French oak barriques, then at least 6 months in the bottle
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color, rich aroma of red fruits, spices, ash and wet wood, warm, penetrating taste, with a nice freshness, powerful and fine.
Pairings: red meats, cheeses and stewed meats.
