In the greatest vintages, the Fuligni select a Brunello Riserva, as required by law, aged for 5 years, of which about 3 and a half in wood. The grapes of the Riserva tend to come from the oldest vineyards and the Brunello produced with them certainly presents characteristics of extreme longevity and concentration, but immediately reveals its important quality and pleasantness, susceptible to an evolution that can span several decades, depending on the storage conditions. Fuligni reserves are present in the cellars of the largest collectors and represent an excellent investment thanks to the important market prices and auctions.
Grapes: Sangiovese 100%
Vinification: Vinification in thermo-conditioned stainless steel vats, followed by aging for about 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Garnet color bright, pure aromas of ripe cherry and sour cherry jam, dark spices and aromatic herbs, licorice, potpourri and a hint of rock salt stand out on the nose, refined and absolutely balanced mouth , highly responsive in aromatic returns, punctuated by virile tannins and tasty freshness. It closes with a very long and juicy persistence.
