5-star vintage . Mild winter. Fresh spring with rainfall. Summer with usual temperatures of the seasonal average. Thanks to the accumulated water reserves and the temperatures that have not reached excessively high peaks, the foliar apparatus has remained almost intact and efficient. All this allowed a slow and homogeneous maturation of the grapes, optimal for obtaining a perfect phenolic and technological maturity.
Grape variety : 100% Sangiovese
Vinification : Fermentation on the skins lasting 10 – 12 days, at a controlled temperature below 28 ° C in low and wide 150 hl steel tanks, specially designed to gently extract tannins and color .
Aging : 9 months in Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity between 75 and 150 hl. Part of the wine was aged in tonneaux and concrete vats, followed by refinement in the bottle.
Tasting Notes: a beautiful intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose is broad, intense and complex. The pleasant fruity notes of black currant, cherry and black cherry are followed by hints of toasting and vanilla. It is a wine with a good structure, with well present and pleasant tannins, with good freshness and flavor, it closes with a long aromatic persistence.
Format : 750 ml
