Rossofonte is born from a careful manual selection of Sangiovese grosso grapes from the property’s vineyards.
Vineyards: medium mixture and marl, of Eocene origin between 240 and 360 meters above sea level produce this young, ready and fragrant wine.
Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese grosso.
Vinification: in stainless steel containers and vitrified cement tanks at a controlled temperature by means of cooling jackets and immersion plates. Aging: in Slavonian oak barrels of 7.5 to 25 hl for twelve months followed by eight months of aging in the bottle.
Tasting notes: ruby red in color, the nose releases intense aromas of ripe berries with balsamic nuances, in the mouth it denotes good acidity flavors of sweet-sour fruit such as raspberry and ripe blackberry, The finish is with a dusty tannin .
Pairings: Traditional Tuscan dishes, red meats and meat sauces. The pairing with fish soups is interesting.
