Ceretto Barolo DOCG “Brunate” (2011)
It is one of the most representative vineyards of the municipality of La Morra and has always been considered one of the toponymies of reference for the entire denomination. It is an inter-municipal vineyard, the plot (of good size, with a total of 28 hectares) is shared, from an administrative point of view, between the municipalities of Barolo and La Morra. The two municipal sides as regards the soil profile, however, do not present great differences and also the exposure (South / South-East) is substantially homogeneous; the only variable is linked to the altitude: in fact, you can go from 230 meters above 400 meters. The soils, from the Tortonian period, are characterized by the presence of S. Agata Fossili marls, with a good presence of sands, particularly in the highest part of the hill. The Ceretto family owns just over 5 and a half hectares in the Brunate area.
