Brunello di Castiglion del Bosco comes from the uniqueness of the Capanna vineyard, located north-west of Montalcino. The peculiar characteristics of this vineyard, such as the natural isolation, the altitude ( between 350 and 400 meters above sea level) and the soil, mainly characterized by the presence of clayey schists, convey refined elegance and great personality to this precious wine.
Grapes : 100% Sangiovese
Training : Guyot, with a density of 5,000 plants / ha and a yield of 60 q / ha
Vinification : fermentation takes place for 18 days in stainless steel tanks at 28 ° C followed by aging for 24 months in French oak barriques and 30-50 hl barrels.
Tasting notes: shows an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, the classic aromas of Brunello are clear and bursting, including notes of undergrowth, small red berries and hints of Violet. On the palate it develops in an infinite progression, with velvety tannins, it is characterized by an excellent persistence and an elegant finish.
Pairings: Red meats, stews and aged cheeses.
