Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino DOCG “Filo di Seta” (2012) Jéroboam
The name “Filo di Seta” is inspired by the river of the same name that flows right next to the vineyards where this wonderful Brunello is produced, which is proposed as one of the highest expressions of the north-west quadrant of the Montalcino micro-climate.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Tasting notes: ruby red color with delicate garnet reflections. On the nose, small red fruits combine with saline nuances, which then turn into a scent of roses and crushed violets. The taste is dynamic and extremely pleasant. It is a structured and enveloping wine with warm, soft and elegant tones and ultra-fine tannins that build a shiny fabric and a fresh style on the palate. The gustative progression is impressive and the persistence is surprisingly long.
Pairings: Filo di Seta goes well with structured and composite dishes such as red meats and game, possibly accompanied by mushrooms. Excellent pairing with cheeses such as aged tome and Tuscan pecorino. Moreover, due to its characteristics, it is possible to appreciate it as a meditation wine.
Format: 3000 ml
