The Bellavista Vineyard extends over a total area of 22.82 hectares planted for a part (about 9.31 hectares) between 1974 and 1978 while the remaining 13.51 hectares between 2006 and 2008 at an altitude between 530 meters above sea level (in the area called Bellaria) and 456 meters above sea level (of the Campinuovi). The soil has a predominantly clayey composition with a strong presence of skeleton. The predominant training system is espalier with simple Guyot pruning for 16.34 ha, while the Lira Aperta training system extends for the remaining 6.48 ha. The first edition of this famous Selection was in 1978 and is produced exclusively in great vintages.
Grapes: 80% Sangiovese, 20% Malvasia Nera
Tasting notes: r intense and deep with purple reflections. At first glance the spicy note typical of Bellavista emerges powerfully, perfectly blended with hints of ripe fruit: wild cherry, currant, licorice, mint, tobacco. Powerful, masculine where the polyphenolic component constitutes its distinctive character with harmony and elegance.
