The name “Le Grance” derives from the fortified buildings, in use in the Siena area during the Middle Ages, which were used for the conservation of agricultural products. Le Grance is a white wine for aging in the style of the great wines from beyond the Alps.
Grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Traminer
Vinification: after the manual harvesting of the grapes, the must remains on the skins for 24 hours at low temperature followed by soft pressing. The must obtained begins and completes fermentation in French oak barriques (350 l). This is followed by a battonage period lasting 2 months. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in barriques. The refinement takes place partly in wood and partly in the bottle.
Tasting notes: straw yellow in color with light golden reflections, the nose is fine, broad, complex, with hints of spice and dried fruit. In the mouth it is harmonious.
Pairing: ideal with fish and white meat dishes.
