Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (2015) Mathusalem Lt. 6
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification: The meticulous selection of the grapes is followed by vinification with maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature in combined steel and Horizon wood vats, which lasts approximately 10 – 12 days. The wine matures for 2 years, 50% in French oak barrels (60 – 90 hl) and 50% in French oak barriques (3.5 hl); in this period scrupulous checks are carried out, up to the refinement in the bottle which lasts for 8-12 months.
Tasting notes: A classic from Banfi production in Montalcino. Obtained from Sangiovese grapes resulting from clonal selection carried out in the company and aged both in large barrels and in French oak barriques, it is a rare example of perfect synthesis between tradition and oenological modernity. Elegant and powerful, it is immediately enjoyable and at the same time suitable for very long aging.
Pairings: suitable for important pairings with second courses of red, roasted or stewed meats or with noble game.
Format: 6000 ml
