Avignonesi 50&50 IGT Toscana (2015)

From the friendship that binds the owners of Avignonesi to Montepulciano and Capannelle in Chianti, comes our sought-after 50 & 50 wine. The first vintage of the 50 & 50 was 1988: during a jovial dinner the former owners of the two wineries began to compare their wines and obtained this exceptional blend of 50% Sangiovese di Capannelle and 50% Merlot di Avignonesi. Grapes: Sangiovese and Merlot

Vinification: Fermentation at a controlled temperature and maceration on the skins for 20-25 days. Aging for 24 months in French oak barriques follows

Tasting Notes: intense ruby ​​red color. The bouquet opens with aromas of ripe fruit with black and red berries, followed by hints of Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices. On the palate it is rich and persistent with a long and balsamic finish.
