The Supertuscan of Montalcino. The legacy of G.Tachis for Argiano. Since 1995 it has represented power and pride, pride and longevity.
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Sangiovese
Soil: Medium-textured, alluvial soils with the presence of calcareous sands and marls
Training system Spurred cordon, organic cultivation, very limited production per bunch, vineyards aged between 15 and 22 years
Vinification: Separate fermentation of the various vines, maceration of about 20 days and malolactic fermentation in cement, aging for about 18 months in French barriques of tonnellerie specially selected for this wine. 60% new wood and 40% second passage wood
Tasting notes: Great explosiveness on the nose, black berry fruit, spices, well integrated wood, chocolate and coffee. Soft and round palate but with an excellent acid boost. Firm but soft tannins.
