The burnt was born in the Guado al Tasso estate located about 80 km south-west of Florence, near the medieval town of Bolgheri. The property, of about 1,000 hectares, extends from the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea to the hills and includes, in addition to 300 hectares of vineyards, also land used for the cultivation of wheat, barley, oats and olive trees, as well as a forest in which there is a breeding of pigs of Cinta Senese.
Grapes: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Syrah
Tasting notes: Intense notes of ripe red fruits dominate the nose, followed by notes of sweet spices and coffee. On the palate, Il Bruciato 2013 is harmonious and enveloping with silky tannins and a sweet and spicy finish.
Pairings: throughout the meal, it goes well with cheeses, velvets and soups. Excellent with roasts and braised meats.
